Chemical Biology + Business Administration B.S.
List of Required Courses
Students must also complete the 7-course breadth requirement from the Haas School of Business, as well as the Reading and Composition requirement (R1A and R1B) in order to apply for admission into the Haas School of Business.
Electives
Students must complete 1 Chemistry elective course, 12 units (~3-4 classes) of Allied Subject electives, and 8-9 units (~ 3 classes) of Upper Division UGBA (Undergraduate Business Administration) electives.
Chemistry Elective
Students must complete one course from the following list:
Allied Subjects
Allied Subjects are upper division elective courses offered by the chemistry department or other departments that are strongly related to chemistry. Students need to complete a total of 12 units of Elective + Allied Subjects courses, equating to 3-4 classes. How to Declare
Students should declare Chemical Biology in the College of Chemistry as soon as possible. Then, once the required courses for admission into the Haas School of Business have been completed, students will apply to the Haas School of Business the spring semester prior to their anticipated start in the school. For more information, visit the Application Process page for the Haas School of Busines.
Careers
Unfortunately, because the Chemical Biology + Business simultaneous degree is relatively new, there is no current data on the career trajectories of those who obtain the degree. Those who are interested in the major are encouraged to look at the 2018 Career survey for Chemistry Majors and Undergraduate Business Adminsttration Majors, individually.
