Descriptive statistics, probability models and related concepts, sample surveys, estimates, confidence intervals, tests of significance, controlled experiments vs. observational studies, correlation and regression.
One semester of calculus
Students will receive no credit for Statistics 21 after completing Statistics 2, 2X, 5, 20, 21X, N21, W21 or 25 . A deficiency in Statistics 21 may be moved by taking W21.
Fall only
3 hours of lecture and 2 hours of laboratory per week.
