• Use the "Pledge for Earth" Worksheet to get some ideas on what you can do to help the environment.

• You may brainstorm with fellow Tzu Ching members to come up with more ideas to pledge.

• You may also pledge to do some group projects that will help the environment.

• Refer Ways I can Help Protecting Environment page to see how your actions contribute to our environment and health.

• Follow the instruction on the worksheet to make pledges.

• The purpose of this project is to make promises to do something above and beyond what we are already doing for our planet. (For example, if people are already recycling every can and bottle they use, they can take a step further to pledge to recycle every can and bottle they see that does not get recycled by other people). • It is up to each individual to decide how many things and for how long he/she will pledge for each item.

• For the purpose of pledge, the amount people promise that they will save is considered the same as the amount actually saved. Integrity, honesty, and commitment are important in this project.

• If people already have the good habit of doing an action on a regular basis, they will simply make a check mark in the "Already Done" column and indicate the amount of things saved during the pledge period in the "Total Quantity Saved" column.

• Go to Submit Completed Worksheet page.

• Enter your name and identify your Tzu Ching Chapter. If your Tzu Ching chapter is not on our list, please check the "other" box and enter the name of your Tzu Ching chapter. Or if you do not affiliate yourself with any Tzu Ching chapters, please enter the name of the city or country in which you live.

• Enter the results that you have recorded from the worksheet and then you are done! You can view your current stats and other Tzu Ching chapters.

• You can submit as many times as you would like. The database will keep track the total that you have submitted during the pledge period*.
