A Short Review on my Project

I chose this project because I believe spam is everywhere and most of us do not know much about it. Before doing the project I was only aware that there is commercial spam and that’s it. It is important to be more aware of this topic because Spam grew so rapidly since it’s beginning with the “Green Card Spam” in 1996. During the project I learned a lot for myself, how to protect myself and also about the topic of spam, such as the costs and the different kinds.

Creating the webpage was time consuming but fun at the same time. Sometimes it seems frustrating to spend hours on how to integrate certain elements into my webpage, like the Quiz. It was far harder as in the book and after I finally found out how to work with it I was kind of proud of myself that I got this far. However overall I really enjoyed doing the layout and I found it rather fun then work for a class. I think the project also helped me for both personal and business life later. I created a webpage by myself before and had way more trouble as I had this time and eventually gave up on my webpage. However these new techniques I learned during the class and especially the project motivated me to sit down on my own homepage and update it for the first time since 5 years. In business it will also help me because the Internet is obviously more important as it has ever been and to understand this sort of stuff will help you in many different sectors.

Overall I am please that I chose the topic because I learned a lot useful information. However sometimes I thought I should have picked a more “fun” topic then spam, but overall I am pleased with my choice and I think it was a really good topic to talk about.

The project was both fascinating and frustrating. But because of the frustration the reward when I succeeded in what I wanted to do was even higher. The project also helped me to increase my understanding of coding, especially the times I had to look at other codes to find out what exactly I had to do, like including pictures into the html coding. Looking back I find it actually easier, however more time-consuming as I expected to create the layout, and I am really pleased that I did not had to us to much Photoshop, because creating the screenshot was the hardest thing ever.
