What can be done ?

Based on the research it was recognizable that spam is a daily and global problem. The costs of spam are immense and hurt both private users as well as the business world. The main category, e-mail spam, is the most common one and therefore creates the highest costs for the society. Some companies found out to fight this kind of spam and created a new market and make up some of the money lost to the society. However it has to be kept in mind that this companies are solely found on the aspect of spam and make their money by doing so. Therefore it is not in their best interest to stop the spam on this world, it is in their interest just to block it. Government agencies have to take over this rule in stopping the spam.

Looking back it is also important to realize that business are not only found on the fact to fight spam, some are solely based to spam the Internet. However it is very hard to track them down, but as technology advances on a daily level there is hope to stop the spam flow some time soon, which would benefit the entire society.

However to me it is clear that spam will be a major problem for out society in the future. Because even if laws against spam are found the serves just move to other countries without restrictions. We have a long way ahead of us in destroying the spam industry.
