About Me

picture of me

My name is Justin Lee, and I am a second year Business-intended major at UC Berkeley. This fall semester of 2006, I have taken IDS 110, "Introduction to Computers and Digital Technology and Culture," participating in lab under the supervision and direction of GSI and PhD candidate, Cecilia Kim. I like to read books and create and listen to music in my spare time. This "Introduction to Computers" course has opened my eyes to a whole new language and world of computers I never thought existed. It has certainly been a “cultural immersion” for me as I delved into this new computer world with its HTML computer language, photoshopping of pictures, creating of websites, and usage of other programs.

This project is relevant to the passions I have for music and business. It is a product of an intersection of my own interests. In learning more about the music world in which I am already so interested, I also became exposed to business-style research methods and learned immensely about the future of the influential music industry in America. In addition to this, it has tested my proficiency with computers and the HTML language I have been learning in the course. In this way it has been rewarding in that this website product is a culmination of many of the ideas I have been learning in the past semester, ranging from basic web design to effective page organizing and even to relevant research of topics related to the music business.
