A Chicana/ Latina Sorority

Although our focus is on Chicana and Latina matters, we are also concerned with issues that impact women in general. Our sisterhood consists of women with multicultural roots. We have positive energy that comes from all over the world.

Retreats & Socials

Sisters of Alpha chapter gather for semester retreats and monthly socials in order to reinforce our Sisterhood and relations with fellow organizations. Our chapter retreats in the past have taken place in several locations including camping sites, beachfront vacation homes and bayside cottages. For our social events, we help establish friendly ties with other organizations in order to help increase our campus involvement.

National Events 

Every year, the National Council hosts events such as our Annual National Sigma/Ella Retreat, National Sigma Retreat and National Leadership Conference at a respective chapter's campus. Active Sisters and Ellas from all chapters including alumnae gather for a weekend event consisting of fun social activities and celebration. The purpose of our National Leadership Conference is to help develop leadership skills in Sisters and also to strengthen our Sisterhood.
