Recycle Your Old Athletic Shoes! Everyday starting July 2009 @ RSF Recycle your old athletic shoes by donating them! Bring your old sports shoes and place them in the RSF atrium's collection bins near the vending machines.The collected shoes will be donated to a variety of charities. |

The Bear-ly Used Furniture Drive May 13 - June 3, 2009 Got stuff you don't want? Donate your furniture and other household items (small appliances) that are still in good condition, and they can be used by other students or community members when Fall Semester begins. |

Green Events Certification Program May 2009 The Green Events Certification is a new program offered by UC Berkeley's Office of Sustainability to identity and recognize departmental events on campus whose organizers have taken extra steps to lower their environmental footprint. The program identifies a set of conditions and actions that event organizers can choose to meet. |

Summerfest: Staff Appreciation Day May 13, 2009 Berkeley's annual staff appreciation day will feature live entertainment, refreshments, staff organizations, carnival games, and prizes. The event, open to staff and faculty, is sponsored by the Chancellor's office and is organized by a volunteer planning committee of campus staff. CALGeT will be tabling there! |

Earthweek 2009: Green Evolution April 20-24, 2009 Earthweek is both a celebration of appreciation for our earth and of the environmental movement’s successes thus far as well as an excellent opportunity for discussion of environmental issues and solutions. Over 60 community organizations and campus groups will organize events on campus to promote sustainability. |
