The Dow Chemical Company shares the unusual backgrounds of some of Dow’s newest “green technologies,” including the story of how a unique twist on a simple beer filter is now helping racecar drivers reduce emissions without reducing handling or speed. Join us for our bi-monthly Green Bag Lunch where we will be watching Blue Vinyl, a toxic comedy.

The CALGeT group will join the vendor fair educating PP-CS employees on LEED buildings, sustainability, green products and materials, and how they can be used cost effectively.

Recycle your old athletic shoes by donating them! Bring your old sports shoes and place them in the RSF atrium's collection bins near the vending machines.The collected shoes will be donated to a variety of charities.

Got stuff you don't want? Donate your furniture and other household items (small appliances) that are still in good condition, and they can be used by other students or community members when Fall Semester begins.

The Green Events Certification is a new program offered by UC Berkeley's Office of Sustainability to identity and recognize departmental events on campus whose organizers have taken extra steps to lower their environmental footprint. The program identifies a set of conditions and actions that event organizers can choose to meet.

Berkeley's annual staff appreciation day will feature live entertainment, refreshments, staff organizations, carnival games, and prizes. The event, open to staff and faculty, is sponsored by the Chancellor's office and is organized by a volunteer planning committee of campus staff. CALGeT will be tabling there!

Earthweek is both a celebration of appreciation for our earth and of the environmental movement’s successes thus far as well as an excellent opportunity for discussion of environmental issues and solutions. Over 60 community organizations and campus groups will organize events on campus to promote sustainability.

The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Sustainability (CACS) is holding its annual Sustainability Summit! This year's theme is "Green the Color of Change" and will focus on informing, inspiring, and engaging all members of the Cal Community.
