Frequently Asked Questions

Who appears in the Yearbook?

All students who get their Graduate Portraits (see below) taken during the 2020-2021 Academic Year will appear in the 2020-2021 edition of the Yearbook.

Additionally, seniors can apply to have their college stories told for the Yearbook's Senior Features section here.

I haven’t gotten my yearbook, when will I receive it?

Our books cover Spring Commencement, so they come out in the subsequent Fall semester. The 2020-2021 Yearbook will be available sometime during the Fall 2021 semester.

If you selected On-Campus Pick Up, you will receive an email when the yearbooks are ready. The in-person distribution of the book will also be dependent on any campus policies then.

If you are not waiting for the book to be released or otherwise have concerns regarding the whereabouts of your book, feel free to email us!

How can I purchase the Yearbook?

You can purchase all editions of the Yearbook from our Online Store.

You can purchase the 2019-2020 Yearbook at a 50% Discount during the online registration process for graduate portraits with Lauren Studios (to log in, use “21CAL-[SID]”, [SID] being your Cal student ID).

What is a Graduate Portrait?

Graduating seniors can take their graduate portraits to be put into the Yearbook through our photo studio company, Lauren Studios. However, due to COVID-19, if you are unable to access a Lauren Studios location nearby, please email us. Visit our Portraits page for more information.

When and where can I take Portraits?

Lauren Studios currently has a photography location at the Hotel Durant/Graduate Berkeley in Berkeley. Contact Lauren Studios for more information.

I took my Graduate Portraits, now what?

In 2-3 weeks, Lauren Studios should send you an email containing image files of the portraits you took. You’ll be asked to select one to be featured in the Yearbook.

If you don’t like the pictures taken of you, you can sign up for retakes for free. Simply sign up for another session the way you did previously.

How can I get involved in Blue & Gold Yearbook?

We recruit every semester for new talent for our copy, photography, design, and business teams. We will open our application at the beginning of the Spring 2021 semester.
