About Me

Hi there! I’m a second-year chemical biology major at UC Berkeley. Before moving to the Bay Area, I lived in the city of Shanghai (which is roughly on the other side of the Pacific).

I’m interested in the evolutionary principles governing the dazzling phenomena of life on both macro- and micro-scale. I also believe a solid understanding of chemistry is essential when it comes to research in life sciences. My undergrad research experience touched on phylogenetics, evolution rates analysis, protein structures, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. You can click on Projects to see details of projects I’ve worked (or am working) on.

Fun Facts

  • I’m a great fan of the Japanese rock band ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. I got in top 0.005% Spotify listener in 2021! My profile picture for many social media accounts is drawn in the style of their album covers.
  • I signed up for GitHub when I was 12 (in 2016) before I understand what it’s for. Unfortunately I didn’t really code anything until very recently.
