Naga-ed-Dr Cemetery 100: Analysis of Cranial Material
Lori Harrington
Measurements of the cranial remains from Naga-ed-Dr Cemetery 100 were taken to determine whether
all individuals buried at the site blonged to the same population (ethnic) group or if different
populations co-existed at Naga-ed-Dr. From the data collected it became evident that only one
population existed in this area. Additionally, the morphological traits of the sample made possible a
reconstruction of the physical appearance of this Egyptian population who were buried at Naga-ed-Dr
from the Old to the Middle Kingdom (2686-1750 B.C.).
