The Board
The board is composed of 9 squares arranged in 3x3 grid that is rotated 45 degrees to look like a diamond.
The Pieces
The pieces are circles or any other sort of counter. Each player has a different color.
Rules
To move: Slide a piece into any square on the top right and top left of the diamond. If there are pieces in that row, slide them over unless the row is filled, in which case the player may not place any more pieces.
To win: Connect 3 in a row in any direction.
Each player picks a different color to play as. Whoever is the first player makes a legal move as described above. Players alternate performing legal moves until someone wins.
Variants
- Board Size: May play with any NxN size board where the objective is to get N pieces in a row.
- Misere: Force opponent to connect 3 of his or her pieces in a row.
- No Filled Row Restraint: Even when a row is filled, a player is allowed to place a piece in that row. The piece at the end of the row is slid off the board and discarded.
