Guangzhou - A.K.A. Canton
This is the city where my family formerly lived and where I was born. I don't remember anything about it, as I left this land at a tender age of 3 months.

This propaganda calls for one child per family, in relation to the overpopulation problem. One child per family was the solution to that problem and so they constantly bombarded people with the message. This is a very old piece of propaganda and I never seen anything like this throughout the rest of my China trip. This was in Guangzhou.

The goat is supposed to be the symbol of Guangzhou. I don't exactly remember the story to this statue, but I'll try. Long ago, gods(fairies?) descended from heaven on these goats. They did good things for the people and then returned. Before leaving, they left their goats behind, which eventually turned into stone. I know there is more to the story, but I just can't remember it.

Canals. I think I I have seen ships here before...or was it in Japan?
