This club exists to inspire a community of composers and instrumentalists on the UC Berkeley campus. A community built upon the sharing of compositions, of orchestrations, and above all the performance and demonstration of students’ works by their peers.

Though it began in the music department and was built upon the idea of connecting music majors/minors to one another, it is not limited as such. UG Composers is open to all who wish to create, share and perform the music of their peers; and to do so without any limitation in regard to genre or experience.

With this we hope to spark a dialogue through which the collaboration of not only musicians but students of all the arts is more than just an encouraged sentiment…but a beautiful inevitability.

Be pro-active and get involved in a creative collaboration with the budding UG Composers community. If there is no active project, make one. Be the instigator. Remember that no artistic venture is too ambitious to pursue and it is always worth the leap.
