Through Berkeley Student Farms, we collaborate with the 7 other student-run garden spaces at UC Berkeley and host Open Hours. The Instagram is currently our main form of communication and updated almost daily.

Workshops/Socials
EARTH MONTH!
April 13-14: Free Produce Tabling with UCB Food Pantry
-12 pm – 4 pm
-Cal Day Tabling on Sproul next to MLK Student Union
-Come learn about food security, agro-ecology, or equitable land distribution, or supporting marginalized communities with SOGA’s Ji Won Choi and Zori Ray
-Eat sustainable meals made by Berkeley Food Pantry using organic harvest from UCB community gardens
April 20-21: Composting/Transplanting Weekend
-10 am – 4 pm
-Student Organic Learning Garden @ the intersection of Walnut St. & Virgina St.
-Come to SOGA to learn how to compost for yourself or group and transplant new life into our community garden with Ji Won Choi and William Smith
-Encouraged to bring your own organic compost or organic baby plants!
April 22: Earth Day Coalition Building
-10 am – 2 pm
-Student Organic Learning Garden @ the intersection of Walnut St. & Virgina St.
-Come to SOGA for a solidarity and intersectionality meeting through alliance and coalition-building between multiple RSOs and community gardens with Ji Won Choi William Smith.
-All students interested in systematic inclusion and equitable land and food distribution are welcome, not just RSOs!
-POC/LGBTQ representation will be prioritized for leadership positions inside SOGA
April 28: Seeding Day
-10 pm -2 pm
-Student Organic Learning Garden @ the intersection of Walnut St. & Virginia St.
-Come to SOGA to learn about seed management, storage, and trading between farmers from William Smith, our Agro-Ecology and Seed Manager.
-Encouraged to bring your own organic seeds to plant!
