- Worker with income of $30,000 in a year:
Tax = .153 * $30,000 = $4,590
- Worker with income of $65,400 in a year:
Tax = .153 * $65,400 = $10,006.20
- Worker with income of $100,000 in a year:
Tax = .153 * $65,400 + .029 * ($100,000 - $65,400) = $11,009.60.
