Summary

ESPM C10 is a lower division breadth course offered within the College of Letters and Sciences. The course is designed as a Discovery course and provides students with a background on the relationship between human society and natural environment. The course is split up into two sections: describing how we think about the environment and then issues our society is facing. See the topics listed below. 3 hours of lecture per week. 1.5 hours of discussion per week. Approximately 3 hours per homework assignment.

When to take

The course is only offered in the Spring. Any student within UC Berkeley can enroll in this course.

Additional Comments and Tips

There was a lot of additional work outside of class but is very straightforward. Pay attention is class and review lectures slides before tests. Be willing to talk with your GSI about writing assignments as well because they want to help.
