Mudhoney Tourbook, 2007
Tourbook

3/22/07 Neumo's. Seattle, WA (20 min)
Attendance: 100
Supporting: Sun Tzu Sound and LA Kendall, FCS North, The Press Corps
Supported By: Jr. Jackson, Bastards of Jazz, Bricklane, Masa, Carla, Brian Weber, Ivan Schwartz
Set: Hate the Police, Fix Me, You Stupid Asshole, The Money Will Roll Right in, New Meaning, Tales of Terror
Notes: New Meaning and Tales of Terror are premiered, and The Money Will Roll Right in is played for the first known time since 4/10/93. The show is a birthday party for band friend Kelly, and a benefit for HEAR (Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers). Each of the bands on the bill gets a short set, and they all share the same backline. Given the time constraints, Mark doesn't play guitar at all. After You Stupid Asshole, Mark mentions that, being one month older than Kelly, he has wisdom to share: "45 is just a number...a number that means you're really fucking old." Mark introduces Tales of Terror by noting that the song starts "in A." Steve corrects him that it starts "on A," leading to a band discussion of whether anyone knows what "in A" would mean.

6/1/07 Clash Club. Sao Paolo, Brazil
Attendance: 1,000
Soundcheck: Where the Flavor is, New Meaning, Tales of Terror, No One Has, The Money Will Roll Right in, Where is the Future
Set: You Got it, Suck You Dry, It is Us, Where is the Future, Into the Drink, Where the Flavor is, I Have to Laugh, No One Has, Sweet Young Thing, Touch Me I'm Sick, Mudride, Who You Drivin' Now?, Get into Yours, Hard-on for War, In 'N' Out of Grace
Encore: The Money Will Roll Right in, New Meaning, Fix Me, You Stupid Asshole, Hate the Police
Encore 2: When Tomorrow Hits, Inside Job, Tales of Terror, Here Comes Sickness
Notes: Mark brought all his guitar cases, but left his Epiphone Silver Jet at home, so he borrowed a Gibson SG from a local, and played that. Steve is breaking strings left and right, including one during the solo of I Have to Laugh, which sends them into a little jam. Someone throws a Brazilian flag with a Mudhoney logo on stage, and Mark and Guy take time to display it to the audience. At the conclusion of the show, someone throws a huge English-Portugese dictionary on stage (which might have been useful earlier in the night, given the lack of banter), and Mark thanks him with, "We need one of these."

8/4/07 "Seafair." Genesee Park. Seattle, WA (70 min)
Attendance: 1,300
Supported By: The Blakes
Set: You Got it, Suck You Dry, It is Us, Where is the Future, Into the Drink, No One Has, Sweet Young Thing, Touch Me I'm Sick, Mudride, Inside Job, Get into Yours, Hard-on for War, In 'N' Out of Grace, Hate the Police
Encore: The Money Will Roll..., Next Time I Get Next to You, Tales of Terror, Fix Me
Notes: Mudhoney played the concert aspect of Seafair. Best known for the hydroplane races, before Seattle had major professional sports, Seafair was bigger than the Superbowl in the region. The semi-improvised verse of Touch Me I'm Sick goes "14 years old / And you love the boats / I want to take you back to my pool / And see if you float." Before Get into Yours, Mark tells the crowd, "In a festival setting, we like to stretch out a little and shocase the talents of one of our members. Tonight, it's Steve 'Two Fingers' Turner." Dan counts off Fix Me and three of them go into that song, while Steve goes into You Stupid Asshole. Although he quickly gets back on track, they stop things to figure out which '80s punk cover they're playing, and then proceed together.

9/15/07 "Don't Look Back". The Henry Fonda Theater. Hollywood, CA
Supported By: The Melvins, Flipper
Set: Touch Me I'm Sick, Sweet Young Thing, Need, Chain that Door, Mudride, No One Has, If I Think, In 'N' Out of Grace, Halloween, Burn it Clean, You Got it, Hate the Police
Encore: The Money Will Roll..., Next Time I Get Next to You, Tales of Terror, Fix Me (w/Keith Morris)
Notes: As is the style with the Don't Look Back series, Mudhoney plays a famous record in its entirety - Superfuzz Bigmuff plus Early Singles. However, Mudhoney goes against the grain by switching up the order (though they do play the Superfuzz Bigmuff in order), making it roughly chronological, with Hate the Police appended to the end. Ron Jeremy is in attendance, eclipsing the guy who played Kubiak on Parker Lewis Can't Lose as the most famous attendee of a Mudhoney show.

11/2/07 The Double Door. Chicago, IL
Attendance: 350
Supported By: The Silents, Thunder Wing
Set: You Got it, Suck You Dry, It is Us, Where is the Future, Burn it Clean, No One Has, Our Time is Now, Sweet Young Thing, Chain that Door, Touch Me I'm Sick, Inside Job, If I Think, Hard-on for War, In 'N' Out of Grace, Hate the Police
Encore: The Money Will Roll..., Next Time, Tales of Terror, Fix Me
Notes: Mark breaks a string on his Gretsch Silverjet during It is Us, and rather than replace it, he uses one of Steve's Guild semi-hollowbodies as a replacement for the rest of the show. There might have been a third new song in the encore.

Encore: Inside Out Over You, New Meaning, The Lucky Ones, Tales of Terror, Fix Me
Notes: This show was a benefit for the family of Slim Jack, who was an active part of the Seattle music community before his untimely passing. I'm Now, The Open Mind, Inside Out Over You and The Lucky Ones are played for the first known time. Steve is punked out in his finest G.B.H. shirt. Mark introduces The Money Will Roll... with, "I bet Slim would have really dug this." The freestyle verse of Touch Me I'm Sick is, "14 years old / In the bright lights / Oh, baby, oh, baby, yeah / I wanna be yours tonight." Dan has a particularly righteous solo during In 'N' Out of Grace. Mark introduces Tales of Terror by saying that they call the song that because it reminds them of the band of the same name.
