Hi everyone, I am Keita Tanabe. I'm a first year intended math and data science major. This is my first upper div class so I might not be super used to everything but I hope to do my best and get to know everyone. Other things about me are that I like to do kendo, watch anime, and play Nintendo games.

(1)Its a little embarrassing but my first question is how mathematical induction works, I've never really understood it and just kinda accepted that it works? (2)For the proof of theorem 10.11, why is it that we only have to prove that limsup(sn)=liminf(sn), why does this not include the case where sn is infinite? (3)In theorem 11.2, what exactly is (i) saying, is it saying that there is a subsequential limit at t if there are an infinite number of elements before t? I don't really understand what the clause is describing. (4)In 14.2 example 2, why is it that 1/n is the only power that diverges? (5)In the proof for the ratio test, why is it that we observe the summation of 1/n and 1/n^2, I don't understand the reason for using these.
