AMATYC Contest Winners

The Evergreen Valley College Math Club helps prepare students for the AMATYC Contest , a math contest held each year at community colleges nationwide. Two years ago, EVC came first in the entire country in the AMATYC Contest! Last year, EVC again came in the top ten . This year, EVC came in the top ten yet again. The first round of the contest this year was held on November 5 and the second round was held on March 4.

To prepare for the second round, we held meetings from 12:45 to 1:45 pm in room AB 201 (Acacia Building) on Fridays in February (except for February 14 since that day was a campus holiday). During the meetings, we discussed the Spring 2024 AMATYC Contest exam and why 2025 is a special number . Below are past AMATYC Contest exams. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no contest held during the 2020-2021 academic school year. The contests held during the '95-'96 academic school year and during the '94-'95 academic school year are not publicly available.
