Monster is a breakout game for the TI-92 Plus / Voyage 200 This game has very smooth gameplay (synchronized at 31 frames per second) in grayscale, and has scrolling levels with bonuses. This version is not quite complete but the core gameplay already functions. It is supplied with full source code The program may be copied or modified without any restrictions.
A PC level editor (53K download) is also available. This editor should run on any PC with Windows 98 or above and .NET Framework 3.5 or above installed. This level editor will edit levels for CMonster, Monster, and Orzunoid for all calculators from the TI-82 through the Voyage 200.
The actual gameplay is smoother than the animated GIF above shows, since the image was made by sampling the screen only a few times per second. Also, many features such as extra weapons aren't shown in it.
Download the full archive here. The archive includes the full source code (both versions are built from the same source) and documentation in addition to the executable. This release should work with all ROM and hardware versions except that for the TI-92 Plus only, there are also problems with the very old AMS 1.00 due to its incomplete assembly support. Platinum Edition requires at least AMS 1.01.
Here is a list of the major features of this game. It is by no means complete, but covers many of the most important ones.
There are no known bugs (at the time of release).
There are none, but this version should be fairly easy to win without them.
