The Lego Mindstorm is a fun way to introduce engineering into a classroom.

Students can also be introduced to programming using the applications created by LEGO.

Lego Mindstorm in the Classroom

1. Tutorial: Spend a class time allowing students to familiarize themselves with the Mindstorm. It is recommended that students follow at least one guided construction so they are comfortable using the different pieces that the kit provides.
2. Remix Challenge: Once students understand how the different mechanical parts work, have them make their own robots without a guide.
