Personal Information:

Brycen's quickness and power has made him one of the top vault, floor, and 
high bar competitors for the Golden Bears.  In 1995 Brycen was barely edged 
out of high bar event to compete in the NCAA Championships.  This steady 
competitor will be a key factor for the bears on floor exercise and vaulting 
events for the '96 season.  Outside the gymnasium Brycen is majoring in 
Economics.  Before coming to Cal Brycen was trained by Joe Strank and 
Nathan Simmons during his high school years at McIntosh High.  During 
this time he competed at the 1991 and 1992 US Nationals.   In Brooks, 
Georgia lives his parents, Marge and Steve, his brother Jake, and his sister, 
Stephanie.
