Wiring for Low Voltage Lights
1. For the low voltage lighting that will light up the walkway, I used standard 14/2 romax and steel electrical boxes with 1/2" romax connectors.
2. I made the connections inside the steel box with two wires sticking out about 4 inches, later I will stucco the whole area with only the wires sticking through.
Caution:
When making connections inside the box, don't use standard wire nuts, you won't be able to access the box later so you will be stuck if you have a bad connection. I suggest you use copper or brass Steak-On's , a copper split bolt or a high quality crimp connector. Make a continuity test before you sheet the wall. Check for continuity and short circuits.
