Grouting Bricks

 

1. After the mortar is set up, wait 24 hours, mix up the grout, 1 part of Portland Cement to 2 part Silica Sand.

2. I mixed it up in wheel barrel and mixed like thick soup.

3. Use a cement pastry bag, fill it up with the grout mix and pour it in between the grout joints, it will fill the joints and the inside holes in the brick

4. Let it sit for awhile, then clean it off with a wet sponge.

(Note: Here's a trick someone told me about, tape the bottom and sides of the brick where it overhangs on the wall with masking tape, this way the wet mortar won't just fall out.

After it sets up a bit you can remove the tape.
