The LIVE! event officially started at February 16, 1996 with the end of FiC (Fellowship in Christ) at KCPC, the church many of us attend in the Bay Area. The night was for summer missions presentation, but I think many of us were inspired to spread the name of Danny Chai as well. As we were getting seated in the bus for the ride back to Stanford, Danny Chai walked in, and immediately the bus erupted into a thunderous cheer. Shouts of "We are aware of you Danny!" ensued for about 5 minutes, as dchai humbly took his place in the back of the bus, away from the obvious rush of fans wanting to bask in his presence.
We went back, discussing different aspects of Danny, including from the
differences between the Anti-Danny page and the AC/DC page, and what new
things we would want to learn about him. The topic QUICKLY turned to the
anticipated event of playing Trivial Pursuit in Paul Lee's dorm room.
When we arrived back home, we all saundered over to Paul's place.
Chi-Hua left his mark in Paul's room when he jumped jubilantly onto his
bed, obviously excited to match wits in TP with DC. The teams were
divided into sophomores vs everyone else, Danny Chai being in the
sophomore team. Expectedly, Danny's team won (which included Dave Hong
and Kevin Lee). In fact, several Chicago questions came up, much to the
joy of Diva Hong. "The Prophet" will forever be remembered from that
night. After the game, Danny improved his record in TP to a stunning
42-0, approaching the mark set by Dave Hong's beloved Chicago Bulls.

We were eating in the dining hall of Stern, and usually I don't eat at Stern, I eat at Toyon, my dorm. Anyhow, being his little sib, Danny was surprised and happy to see me. Unfortunately, as he opened his arms up in surprise, he knocked a girl's plate to the floor and it broke and spilled all the food along with it. Needless to say, it was quite an embarrassing moment for all of us, but Danny came through with immense dignity and poise. I don't know if this is making people aware, but it is a Danny Chai LIVE! event.
