Software
Software should really work. I guess that’s why people are switching away from Vista to XP or even Mac.
The sound of laughter, gives the illusion of happiness. 水月鏡花, 喚起睡夢中的思想

Yes! I have internet, and TV, well, all 5 channels of it. We’re using an antenna and the reception is average except for ABC. I don’t know why. We must live near an ABC broadcasting post. Well, at least ABC has some quality shows, even though they’re not the most popular. “Wipeout!” is a good show. As for the internet, it was actually down when we connected it. We had to wait two and a half hours for it to be connected. The reason is that the whole Santa Monica area was down, or so I heard. I guess that’s why Time Warner Cable doesn’t get the best ratings on their service. Now that I have internet, I can go back to doing whatever it was that I do on the internet. Also, I biked on Sepulveda today. For some reason, I thought UCLA was right next to Sepulveda, but it’s totally not. I’ll make another try tomorrow to see if I can actually get to UCLA.
I want to know whose decision it was to close down the 5. Golden State Freeway isn’t just for closing down. I mean, everyone is coming back into LA on a Sunday night. We arrived at 11pm and they just decided to close the freeway starting at 11pm. >:O. Then when we drove by, there was no construction, but it probably just hasn’t begun, yet. Boo, California Department of Transportation.
During my final days in Nor-Cal, I decided to take a couple of pictures. At Berkeley, I saw this street sign.
Shattuck and Walnut are the same street?! wtf? Berkeley has some weird streets. Then I head on over to Richmond, which is also known as the city of Pride and Purpose. I finally got a good picture of the ducks.
I envy the ducks. They 放空 like no other.
After hanging around, I drove down to Los Angeles, also known as the City of Angels (hmm, I wish I meet some angels there, that would be cool). I never saw this before, but I think it means there are no cop cars on the road to catch me speeding.
In case the picture is too blurry for when I read this 50 years from now, those are California Highway Patrol vehicles. I had to drive and take a picture with my phone at the same time. I’m pretty sure a police would have pulled me over if he saw what I was doing.
Then when I got to LA, we rented an apartment. It was pretty homely. Then I saw this sign when shopping for shoes at DSW.
I thought it looked funny.
Then I went to Disneyland in Anaheim. I didn’t know Anaheim was in OC, I always thought it was in LA. I guess that’s why it doesn’t look like LA at all. All the streets are laid out in grid and stuff, and there’s metro on the 5. This place reminds me of Dublin/Pleasonton. Anyways, the best ride is still Splash Mountain, and the fireworks must cost Disneyland thousands of dollars to put on, if not more. I mean, it’s bigger than some of the 4th of July celebrations, and they do it everyday! Probably it was bigger when we saw it, since it was on a weekend, but still. Oh, I saw this in Disneyland.
In case the writings are too small to see, below is a zoomed-in version.
No wonder us Americans are fat.
Well, we finally moved everything out of boxes, but we still don’t have internet (boo Time Warner Cable). Why does it take 10 days for them to connect cable? >:O. I guess I’ll just have to go to Starbucks everyday. All in all, it looks like LA is a pretty good city for me, I mean, where else can you see so many expensive cars?
不過,有時候還是會覺得寂寞。
雖然跟你只是朋友,不過,在一起的時候我很快樂。
能再見面的話就再見吧,不然,就永別啦。
I think my next post should be in Spanish, I need to brush up now that I’m in So Cal.
