Below are a few resources that think would be helpful for teachers. Some are resources I found while I was teaching full-time; others are resources that I have found since starting my research in science, mathematics, and engineering education.
(New resources will be added periodically.)
Digital Resources
The Concord Consortium offers digital resources for STEM teachers. Easily search for educational activities, models and software tools by grade level or subject.
PhET simulations creates free interactive math and science simulations.
NGSS Support
The Bozeman Science video series consists of 60 short videos explaining each of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) disciplinary core ideas, science and engineering practices, and cross-cutting concepts. Videos explain the depth each concept/idea should be covered at each grade level illustrating the learning progression of concepts.
Looking for scientific phenomena to spark your students’ interest that connects to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)? Find an extensive list here.
Teach Engineering has units, maker challenges, activities and more that align with engineering standards. Search by category or educational standard.
