Georgia holds a B.A. in Philosophy from UC Berkeley and is a founding member of the Critical Pacific Island Studies Collective (CPISC), where she worked as an Island Justice Fellow in 2024. Her research interests focus on the dynamics of state power, U.S. militarization, and the ongoing struggles for Indigenous rights.
Before joining CPISC, she worked as a documentary researcher examining the California prison system. Her interest in the US carceral landscape informed her subsequent research into the militarization of the Pacific, as she saw parallels between state power, incarceration, and military expansion. With Kanaka Maoli roots on her father’s side, her work is also driven by a commitment to reconnect with and learn about the Hawaiian Kingdom and advocate for the broader Oceania community.
