Families
Every year, members are sorted into families to foster friendships and a sense of community. Family Heads serve as a resource for their family, organize family socials, and work to model service, fellowship, and leadership within UC Berkeley Circle K.

Daring Dragons
Hello everyone! I’m Austen. I come from Fremont in the Bay Area. One fun fact about me is that I chose to go UC Berkeley because the name sounds the most like Kirby (ginormous fan). I like playing Smash, video editing, and going to libraries with my friends. I joined Circle K last fall because, having been in Key Club, I figured that it would really help me socially during an entirely online year. I made many of my closest friends in Berkeley through my previous family, and I hope to recreate this experience as a family head next year.
Hi! I’m Amisha and I grew up in Fremont, CA. I’m a huge fan of stories in any form – books, TV shows, movies, music – and review books for a couple of publishers! Hit me up if you’re a fellow culinary amateur looking for a friend to cook or bake with. Although I wasn’t a part of Key Club in high school, I absolutely adore the community that it and Circle K offer. I also love hosting events, so we’ve got a lot planned!
We both made many friends and memories in our family last year, and this inspired us to volunteer to lead a family of our own. Our goal is to create a positive social experience for everyone, whether you’re looking for fun group events here and there or friends to last you a lifetime. We have a ton of events planned like movie marathons, (friendly) competitions, picnics, video game nights, and trips to interesting places. Worrying about Circle K conflicting with your academics? Don’t! We’re both nerds, so we’ll always be having fun late-night study hangouts at the libraries. If you’re looking for a family that will help you make new friends, make college less intimidating, and support your messed up sleep schedule, then the Daring Dragons family is for you!
Famous Fairies
Hi future Famous Fairy! My name is Cindy and I am from Sacramento, CA. Some major hobbies of mine include adventuring such as road-tripping, traveling, and hiking, playing tennis, and socializing. I joined Circle K because I wanted to further develop my leadership skills, continue service, and join a community that enjoys volunteering as much as I do. As a family head, I hope to provide a welcoming environment similar to my previous family heads.
Hello! My name is Victor Cruz Ramos and I am from Escondido, California. Hobbies that I enjoy are playing soccer, reading comic books, and going out for hikes/jogs. I've actually never been to campus before this year, so I look forward to exploring it with my family! I joined Circle K because I wanted to meet a community of students who enjoyed service like me. Similarly, I decided to become a family head because I wanted to meet others who are interested in doing service and socializing with them.
If you join our fairy-tastic family, we will show you how to dominate family competitions and get the most service hours while having fun by coming with you. Our main goal as a family is to have the most family members attend each event such as general meetings, socials, and service events, and have lots of fun along the way. If you are competitive and love service, our family is the fairy-fect one for you!
Whimsical Wizards
Hello! My name is Amanda, I’m from Hercules, CA, and I am excited to create magical memories with you all! I love photography and reading YA books. Circle K has given me a space to build leadership skills and meet amazing friends throughout my time in college. As a family head, I hope to create an inclusive space while we make new memories with each other this upcoming year!
Hey there! My name is Bidane, I’m from San Diego, CA, and I am super pumped to be a family head! In my free time, I like to learn about arthropods and bake. Circle K really makes me feel connected to others and everyone in it inspires me. That’s why I hope that I can help make the Whimsical Wizards a friendly group of spell-casters that we can feel comfortable to be ourselves in!
The Whimsical Wizards have many activities planned for the year. From study socials to Memorial Glade days to online activities (watch parties, games, etc.), we plan to be very flexible for every member. If you’re looking for a family that combines the best of both worlds, grab your wands and join us on a magical adventure!
