After a week, Tess realises he won't be able to make a spell which lasts for 
any apreciable length of time which masks scent. Tess could make a cantrip 
which causes a particular scent from a resticted (and fairly simple) list, or 
a 1st level spell which blocks it completely for a short length of time. It
would be easier for people like Druids to create such a spell, as it's more
of an animal thing. Tess' spell will only last 1 minute, range touch. It's 
obviously very difficult to research. Not really a mage thing.
**1027/10/05-1027/10/11**

Tess goes to ask Xeris, who asks around for Druid's who know how to make a
magic item with such a spell. Xeris' child was doing well, running around 
tearing up the place (figuratively speaking), but not talking yet. Tess took
a small toy with him went he went there, made of wood from a fallen (not
chopped down) tree. The child became immediately engrossed with the toy, as
they didn't have any other toys. Xeris commented on how quickly they grow at 
this age.

Tess will nod, and then think, "Oh ... ummm do dryads grow any faster than the 
rest of us? Though children do grow quickly of course. *happy thoughtful sigh* 
Children, children, responsibilities." and grin. Tess set down Darielle from
his shoulder for the child to play with, after Darielle acquiesced.

Xeris quickly found a centaur to speak to you about scent. The female centaur 
druid (with dreadlocks) says she can do it. An item which removes Tess' scent 
she would be willing to do for some assistance in clearing some land. Tess 
probably doesn't want to spend the next 6 months doing it, so she is willing 
to accept coin so she can pay some humans to do it.  

The item would hide Tess' scent. She doens't know how to do a false scent, 
although she thinks it would be possible. She can't make potions that hide
scent. Cost of 8,000gp to buy it.
**1027/10/12** one day spent in Wendar with Xeris
