Elves
Possible that Alfheim Elven spirits go to the Alfheim forest, just as
Shadow Elven spirits go to soul crystals. The soul crystals are a source
of power, so too is the Alfheim forest. This would be an even darker turn,
to a dark tale. The Shadow Elves were causing the trees in Alfheim to warp.
This caused noticeable changes in the dryads, and eventually became sufficient
to be visible in the trees themselves. The Alfheim Elven Tree Keepers had
severe problems trying to slow the progress of this.
The Shadow Elves started damaging the Alfheim forest to try and drive
the Alfheim Elves out of Alfheim. Phoranin knew this was going to happen
for about 50 years.
Alfheim Elves:
- The Elves left the Sylvan realm 2000 years ago and came to
here. They left because they were under attack by orcs and humanoids, and
travelled by the Rainbow Bridge. They arrived on the great plain of Darokin and
the Elven tree keepers made a forest.
- The Elves were created magically.
- Clearance into Alfheim was usually arranged at Darokin City.
Types of Elves:
-
Isvatu Elf: an old race of elves ... Dunedel was one of these.
-
Faenrie: winged elves
-
Wendar Elves: possibly related to Shadow Elves judging by clan names
-
Alfheim Elves
-
Dark Elves - forsaken, but why?
-
Karameikan Elves
-
Alfiesh Elves
-
Norwold Elves
-
Glantri Elves (most died due to province being hit by rock)
-
Callari Elves (where are these? Karameikos?)
-
Shadow Elves - underground Elves
-
Grakkalian Elves - a bunch of elves that live with gnolls underground beneath Baratkand
Baronny of Longwalk: ruled by Baron Longwalker. A mining town in the
Norwold forest. Set up after someone found a gold nugget. Hunters and trappers
use the forest. There is a good place for Elves to live south of this forest,
which is currently inhabited by bugbears.
Tess attempted to save the Alfheim Elves twice:
-
travelling to the City of Stars, putting himself in grave danger as he
has the appearance of a green elf, to try and talk to the king. Ended up
in jail.
-
longer term ... spoke to priests of Koryis who agreed to send a diplomatic
mission.
