I am an Associate Professor in the Francis I. Proctor Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF profile link). Additionally, I am Director of Proctor’s Data Coordinating Center, where we lead more than 15 international randomized controlled trials funded by the NIH and BMGF. I am an infectious disease epidemiologist and biostatistician. My research group focuses on trachoma elimination, enteric infections, WASH+nutritional interventions, and seroepidemiologic surveillance. I joined UCSF in September 2019. I have kept this referral page active because I was affiliated with UC Berkeley for more than a decade and still maintain many close collaborations there.
