목요일 점심: geez, this wk's flyin' by! i meant do werk on so much djin' stuff last nite, but... *sigh* i got so sleepy. i got delayed cos 1) i went to ¢0$+¢0 (costco) 4 the 2nd time this wk to 1) buy gas @ 2.499/gal n' 2) buy some salad (as well as some odwalla b monster n' some california.grown black, seedless "table" grapes; 3 things/items. when i got home, ken n' grace were waiting @ our house w/ a big 갈비 galbi bone 4 sooni. they had gone to dinner @ 구이구이 "gooyi gooyi," a new korean restaurant on the east end'f santa clara's koreatown on el camino real, a li'l east'f san tomas expressway. i let sooni eat that huge bone, while grace n' ken watched in absolute awe'f how well.behaved she is now compared to... well, prob'ly ne other doggy they've ever cn. sooni is a good doggy. *sigh* neway, i ate some salad 4 dinner. uhm, i tried then to werk on some dj stuff. however, the beautiful kaela hwang called me 4 a li'l while; but i was really, really tired. i ended up just falling asleep after we got off the fon. *sigh* shoot.
this morn, after walkin' sooni, b4 going to werok, i went to the sunnyvale skate park w/ my new pro.tec park 2006 knee pads n' wrist guards. i went into the small bowl n' soon go the hang'f catching both trucks onto the coping 4 backside axle stalls. woohoo! however, re.entry was then the prob. 'twas like learning to drop in all over 'gain. well, i then went over the ther area by the medium.sized bowl, where the transition is a li'l less steep n' practiced droppin' in from a 50.50 axle stall. i prakticed it over n' over 'gain. i was trainin' my body... the whole muscle memory thing. repetition... praktice makes perfekt... i just kept doin' it. then after a while, i went back to the small bowl n' started tryin' to catch that 50.50 axle stall 'gain. whoa, i could do it... n' then droppin' back into the bowl just came naturally cos i'd prakticed doin' that so many times. kewl! the trick that i've gotta 'member 4 catchin' the backside 50.50 axle stall's to sit my butt down as soon as i catch onto the coping. my bad tendency's to lean 2much 4ward, back into the bowl, whish drags my body back down b4 i can properly stall. dude, i've gotta return to the park asap (hopefully 2morrow morn cos i prob'ly can't go on sat morn cos'f the wedding i gotta dj) to keep prakticin'. i'm a bit stoked 'bout this, i guess. i guess havin' the new pads gave me a li'l more courage to try out stuff... which was key to gettin' this down. i think i only 1nce fell in such a capacity that i needed to use my new pads.
several wks 'go, i thought 'bout how most asian pro skaters (skateboarders) r street skaters these days n' not big vert skaters. like, guys like daewon song n' jerry hsu, they're bigtime street skaters. i thought maybe the days'f asian pro vert skaters went 'way w/ christian hosoi n' steve caballero. however... that was a bit silly'f me cos apparently @ the recent mtn dew, < haref="http://www.google.co.kr/search?num=100&hl=ko&newwindow=1&q=lincoln+ueda&lr=" target="new">lincoln ueda was a big name, japanese.brazilian pro vert skater. i saw his pic in 1'f the local, silikon valley newspapers, i 4get which. he's a yr older than me. he rides 4 element skateboards. wow, i didn't know element had many minority pros. like, certain companies tend to have more minority pros, like chocolate skateboards, which i think started out as an afrikan 'merikan team but has since diversified. it's funny; i thought the company girl skateboards'd have female pros, but i don't think it does. i think zero does tho'. however, i don't think ne companies ('least not famous 1s) sell female pro models... only female pro model snowboards.
[later] 오후: i'm eating some fried(?), cornmeal crusted catfish from my werk.com cafeteria 4 lunch. it's not very healthy but's s'pposed to be 2day's healthy choice. wow, i can't believe that this wk i made a couple'f breakthrus @ the sunnyvale skate park: 1) frontside pre.grab / ollie on the transition n' 2) backside 50.50 axle stalls. it's weird cos i skated so much last wk (more than this wk), but these breakthrus happened this wk. i s'ppose it's like how prayers get answered in god's time not urs. humans r impatient creatures. what cms like an eternity to us is a nanosecond to our creator.
