"everything that you ever wanted" by hawk nelson

È¿äÀÏ ¾Æħ: 2day's the beautiful kaela hwang's n' my 38th wedding monthversary. :-) as bad as i am @ expressing it, i do love her.   she has finals rt now, so well... we're not gonna go out 2nite.   i 'member the days when we'd go out on the aktual nite'f our monthversary no matter what nite 'twas.   oh well... maybe that was simply impraktical.   sure it's fun to... what do they say?   throw 3 sheets to the wind?   is that the sayin'?   neway, it's fun to do things like that, but... 'member my whole rant on hedonism yesterday?   it's all happy happy to say 1 should shirk all responsibilities n' pamper herself/himself every so often; but the prob's that media, advertisers, n' amerikan society in gen'l (i guess) wants u to do it all the time, n' it's 2 easy to fall into the trap'f 'least wanting so bad to do it all the time, but we can't.   think 'bout ¢redit ¢ard debt!   dude, i don't wanna be a "debbie downer" killjoy, nor am i all'f the sudden a total "realist" as opposed to a "romanticist."   however, *sigh* even if i were to try to recapture that romanticist heart i had in hi skool, i never was a romanticist 'bout akting so irresponsibly or building up ¢redit ¢ard debt, rt?   u can be a romanticist like those transcendetalists that talked 'bout nature n' stuff, rt? *shrug* i mean... *sigh* heck, i dunno nething 'bout literature, prose, or poetry; so don't ask me.   neway... kaela n' i won't go out to celebrate 2nite.   however, she asked me to ditch taekwondo on thurs to celebrate @ the end'f her finals, n' i aktually did ask mark if he could take over teaching the class on thurs, so i can take kaela out.   i feel i should treat her better, u know?   i've been stretched a li'l thin lately btwn werk, djing, church, n' taekwondo.   i feel bad.   on sun(day), kaela pted sumpthin' out, n' it was just fakt not an attempt to be mean or nething: she sed, "i'm always at school, and you're always at church."   as i sed, she wasn't trying to be mean.   rather, it's just plain true.   i ignored 1 evite this past wknd.   i felt bad, but i think 'twas 4 the better.   in some ways i need to "align" my priorities.

well, i found some fun/useful links on dave kim's starkdavingmad, which he doesn't update as often as he used to.   (yah, as i sed b4; r ppl, 'specially'f my generation, losing interest in bloggin' or sumpthin'?!)   neway, here r the links:

on spoofee.com, i found a de¢ent deal: a 2pac'f logitech bluetooth headfons 4 $44.95 + $5 $&h = $49.99.   pretty good, huh?   however, i know that produkt has received only mediocre ratings, so i hesitate.   i'm so torn 'bout the bluetooth headfons.   it cms to me that the iogear bluetooth headfons r a much better produkt, but they ¢o$t quite a bit more: $90~100 w/ the included adapter 4 non.bluetooth audio playas.   shoot, the item's sellin' on woot.com, which apparently's a very interesting site.   they sell 1 produkt each day n' only 4 that 1 day.   thus, if i don't buy this pair'f headfons by 2nite, then i'll be sayin' goodbye to the deal.   u know what?   most likely, i'll pass.   the 2pac's nice cos i can keep 1 set n' give the other set to kaela.   however... *sigh* what to do, man?   we just don't got $$$ like this to throw 'way on gadgetlust these days.   shoot! newegg.com had a usb 802.11b/g adapter 4 99¢ (after mir) yesterday, but they're now sold out. *sigh* i really needed that item!   my e.mail routine's all skrewed up rt now cos we cancelled our at&t dsl to $ave $$$. *sigh* it's frickin' hard to juggle all the things i need to do during the day, so i didn't come close to checking spoofee.com yesterday. *sigh*

well, on a happier note, i did hit up the sunnyvale skate park this morn.   however, i didn't stay long.   i had a super short session.   i prob'ly only skated 4 like 30 mins or so.   i tried to make it very produktive tho'.   i think i was a bit bogged down cos i ate a whole peanut butter n' hawai.ian jelly sandwich on the commute to the park.   that was a bit much.   still, i had a good time.   u know, skateboarding makes me happy.   however, i wish i'd gotten out'f the house earlier.   i had to werk on the pile'f dishes, pots, n' pans in the sink.   i didn't even really get 'round to washing them; i just got them soaking.   kaela has a bad habit'f just throwing dishes in the sink, not washing them, n' not even soaking them in warm, soapy h2o; she just let's them sit, dry up, n' crust.   however... *shrug* *sigh* that's just life.   i've got things to take care'f.   u know what's bad?   sooni didn't even get a walk 2day!   i went into the backyard n' watered the plants, sooni came out, n' i just left her in the backyard.   i feel horrible 4 her, but i can only do so much in a day.   it's so hard: all the housewerk, all the chores, all the social obligations, all the extra.curriculars...   it's hard.   "i tried to be perfect, tried to be honest, tried to be everything that you ever wanted.   i tried to be stronger, tried to be smarter, tried to be everything but you..." - from hawk nelson's "everything that you ever wanted" u know that song?   it's a kewl song.   i'm guessin' it's 'bout parents, but i dunno.   shoot, here r the complete lyrics:

"everything that you ever wanted"
hawk nelson

i walk the line
leave it all behind
i've been waiting forever
let's go back in time
when i could read your mind
so i've been waitin'
it took a season's going by
to know it's not my fault

(chorus)
i tried to be perfect.
tried to be honest.
tried to be everything that you ever wanted.
i tried to be stronger.
tried to be smarter.
tried to be everything but you...

it's been so long
since you've been home
i used to wait up forever.
used to say a prayer
wishing you were there.
and i'm still waiting...

you told me once
you'd show up,
but i fell for that before
i fell to pieces

then i woke up to no one
just a picture of jesus
and a house left in pieces
and it took a season's going by
to know it's not my fault.

i tried to be perfect.
tried to be honest.
tried to be everything that you ever wanted.
i tried to be stronger.
tried to be smarter.
tried to be everything but you...

i want you
i need you
i want to believe you
i want you
i need you
i want to believe you

i tried be perfect
tried to be honest
tried to be everything but you...

i tried to be perfect.
tried to be honest.
tried to be everything that you ever wanted.
i tried to be stronger.
tried to be smarter.
tried to be everything but you...

i tried to be perfect.
tried to be honest.
tried to be everything that you ever wanted.
i tried to be stronger.
tried to be smarter.
tried to be everything but you

[a li'l later] here's the wikipedia entry 4 "pomegranate": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/pomegranate.   here's the wikipedia entry 4 "white tea": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/white_tea

last nite, i went to sach's turbo kick box (tkb) class @ the east arques sunnyvale 24 hour fitness.   i didn't bother to shower @ the gym but came straight home to eat some random odds n' ends, watch simpsons n' then some ch 28 korean tv, wrote my journal entry, n' went to sleep.   as i sed, it's hard to do all the things i wanna do each day; really hard.   how can i simplify my life?!   *sigh*

[later] ok, this is a bit pathetique, but i was tempted to sign up to donate blood on thurs even tho' i have a phlegmy throat n' runny nose 2day, just to get a free amc movie tic.

[later] "i've seen your kind before.   you're the type that thinks souls is sold in a store, packaged up with incense sticks, with them vegetarian meals.   to you that's righteous.   you're fiction like books.   you need to go out to life and look." - from the black eyed peas' "gone going"   true.   tai chi, chai tea, yogi tea, yoga, n' whole fuds r great 4 ur health but won't save ur soul.   a few morths 'go, in a journal entry, i wrote off this ditty as just a feelgood tune w/ no substatial spiritual content; but, now, i think otherwise.

[later] ¿ÀÈÄ: i drove home to eat a ragtag lunch'f microwaved, frozen shumai, a couple'f chinese ¿Õ¸¸µÎ wang mandoo, a white peach, n' a white nectarine.   i browsed thru a copy'f the latest issue'f vibe.   i currently have a free subscription.   it's mostly 'bout afrikan.amerikan culture but has some content relevant to asian.ams like me, i guess.   in there, i found a li'l foto article 'bout bluetooth headfons, 'f all things.   it has only pix, brands, models, n' list pri¢es, no specs, reviews, or even descriptions.
