short break from rain over weekend

¿ù¿äÀÏ ¾Æħ: on the 1st werkday of daylite saving time, i'm having not the best day but trying to make it better.   this wknd, we had a short respite from the rain on saturday, n' i milked it 4 what it was worth.   on fri, oh... shoot, man, i haven't toldju 'bout this???   augh, ok; i guess, in a way, 'lot has happened this wknd. *sigh*

poop doggy dogg: sooni's housetrained, very housetrained.   under normal circumstances, she would absolutely never go poop in the house.   on wed nite, if u 'member, the beautiful kaela hwang took sooni w/ us to meet up w/ duk, his bro chan, duk's gf yuna, n' julie @ Àå¸ðÁý jangmojip 4 a late dinner after i picked kaela up from the sjc mineta aeroport.   neway, the nice ´©³ª noona waitress there gave sooni some µÅÁö º dwaeji byuh pork bones.   she even gave us some to go.   well, over the next day, we fed her 2 many µÅÁö º dwaeji byuh.   on fri, my mom dropped sumpthin' off @ our house, so i pondered going home to fetch it.   however, i was so bizzy w/ werk.   i was very bizzy w/ werk, as usual.   well, when kaela came home from spending the day in sonoma, "shadowing" a chiropractor there; she discovered that sooni had chewed up our beautiful french doors that open to our backyard.   she had done that in the past but has been good over the past year.   kaela was on the phone with me when she arrived at home.   she said, "i hope she didn't poop in the house."   then she gasped.   u c, sooni had had a very, very, very severe stomachache apparently!   she considers it such a bad sin to poop in the house, that she'd rather get in trouble 4 chewing on the door, in an attempt to chew her way out, than poop in the house.   well, she had tried chewing on the door but eventually couldn't hold in her diarrhea.   she ended up letting it out, most likely very unhappily.   well, when i heard 'bout this, i aborted my trip to safeway on my evening commute n' instead came home n' cleaned up the mess.   kaela had gone to our room 4 a nap.   i cleaned everything up n' woke her up to rush to our grx t3s couples bible study.   i couldn't skip cos i was leading the guys.   i was very happy that kaela could join us 4 1nce.   the host couple was so nice; they warmed up some chicken n' rice 4 us to eat since we didn't get dinner or even much lunch.   4 my lunch that fri, i ate a li'l bit'f leftovers from blue mango thai restaurant from thurs nite.   well, we had a pretty good bible study.   then, kaela n' i, on our way home, still a bit hungry, pulled into °íÇâ»êõ gohyang sanchun to eat some ¾ËÂî°³ aljjigae (fish egg stew).   we happily watched some korean tv as we ate.   we saw the end'f an episode'f õ±¹ÀÇ °è´Ü chungookuy gyeidan ("stairway to heavean") n' then an episode'f a show called Áø½Ç °ÔÀÓ jinshil game, where celebrity judges tried to guess which gurls were real n' which were hi skool boys dressed in drag.   yah, honestly, stuff like this isn't very typical 4 korean tv.   after our late nite dinner, we tried to gro¢ery $hop @ the nearby safeway, but 'twas closed.

on sat, i woke up much later. . . [later] ...much later than i wanted to.   i wanted to wake up early n' exercise, etc.   maybe i would've jogged w/ sooni.   maybe i would've taken her out on skateboard.   in ne case, i didn't do either.   instead, i slept in.   kaela went off to yet 'nother'f her chiropraktic seminars.   then, eventually, i got my butt out the door n' on the road to berkeley.   i must've eaten some oatmeal 4 breakfast b4 i left.   'twas a clear day in the sobay / silly valley.   'twas also a beautifully clear day up in berkeley.   however, 4 some strange reason, the southeast bay (fremont, san leandro, san lorenzo, hayward, union city, newark, etc.) was a bit rainy.   in case u don't know, it's been very rainy in the bay area these past couple'f months.   i feel like this is how it must be in oregon or washington, i.e. the pacific northwest.   i drove swiftly up 880 but luckily spotted a chp on the lefthand shoulder n' slowed down.   phew.   i was late to the ref seminar.   i thought i'd be early if nething; but i'd woken up so late.   i swung by the bank in berkeley, which also slowed me down.   i parked in a city.run pay lot btwn durant n' channing by unit 3.   i rode my skatebaord over to the rsf.   it felt nice to ride my skateboard in berkeley cos i felt so free to do so!   i felt like a free.spirited grad student not confined by yuppie standards.   i saw norman n' sally n' the norman n' susan's kids on my way to the martial arts room in the rsf.   i couldn't believe how big carolanne (carol ann?)n' tj have gotten!   i really wished i'd gotten to berkeley early n' participated in the sat morn class.   the ref seminar was very informative, n' chuck tweedy's always a great ref instructor.   he's really experienced.   as expekted, i got to talk to ol' friends n' meet some'f the new kids.   i got really hungry during the seminar.   after the seminar, i couldn't find friends to eat w/ but i got on my board n' rode 2wards telly (telegraph ave).   on my way, i ran into some'f our friends that were @ the seminar; so i went to lunch w/ them @ blake's.   i had a portabello club sandwich n' ice tea.   'twas very fun.   i skateboarded 'round a couple'f blocks b4 returning to the pay lot to drive off.   i saw other guys crusiing on skateobards, n' i thought that was kewl.   later, after i paid my $9 4 parking n' started heading home but then turned 'round to go meet up w/ phil; i realised that if i had skated just a couple'f blocks further, i would've been near the ol' 510 skateboard shop, where a bunch'f real hardcore skaters were hangin' out.   they would've thought i was such a poseur.   whatever, man.

well, phil was out @ the 4th street $hopping area @ some special book event of some sort.   i ended up meeting up w/ him @ cody's books out there, which is much "cleaner" than the 1 on telly.   we talked in cody's then walked to a nearby art studio, then to the hear music store (which existed b4 the $tarbu¢ks deal), n' then to some gourmet gro¢ery store.   i told phil that i had to get home to mow the lawn, so we only hung out 4 'bout an hr.   then i did just as i sed i would do: i drove home n' mowed the lawn.

this 1.day break from rain was my 1 chance to mow the lawn.   [later] kaela went gro¢ery $hopping @ the rivermark safeway after her seminar.   when she came home, she cooked some vegetarian pasta n' made some caesar salad lite from a bag.   i recommended putting black grapes in the salad, so we did.   we ate 'lot n' then ate dessert: some uh... leftover cheesecake from t.giving.   gross, eh?   during dinner we watched an episode'f kbs's µå¶ó¸¾ ½ÃƼ drama city.   then, all'f the sudden, i exclaimed sumpthin' n' that kind'f started kaela.   i realised that we needed to use our free boba drink card @ fantasia that nite.   well, we brought sooni w/ us over to the wolfe rd, cupertino fantasia.   we got 1 almost free taro milk w/ boba n' sat outside in the cold n' ate/drank it.   i was really cold, but kaela had her down jacket on.   'specially cos'f the old, old cheesecake we ate; i was already full'f sugar n' didn't need this drink; but well... i had to use up the card.   we'd werked so hard to earn that drink.

on sun morn, 'gain, i woke up later than i'd wanted to.   kaela went to her. . . [later, Àú³á, still@werk.com] kaela went to the 2nd part'f her chiropraktic seminar.   i went to church.   a visiting pastor david choi from chicago gave a sermon on transformation.   i notice that asian.am visiting pastors r often really revved up to speak to a large, 2nd gen asian.am crowd.   our church isn't s'pposed to be an asian or asian.am church; it just happens to have mostly asian.ams in the congregation; but we're diversifying; believe it or not.   after church, my mom n' i ate @ ramen halu on saratoga ave near stevens creek.   wow, that was good ramen.   maybe w/ pizza n' ramen, i'm not a harsh 'nuff critic, u think?   well, personally, i liked ramen halu better than maruichi... i think.   i like ryowa better than maruichi as well... i think.   back in the day, i used to like katana.ya.   [unfinished entry]
