plenty'f snow on mt. ham

±Ý¿äÀÏ ¾Æħ: tgif?   "ÇÏ´À´Ô, °¨»çÇÕ´Ï´Ù.   ¿À´ÃÀº ±Ý¿äÀÏÀ̱º¿ä."   i guess so.   i paid my car insurance yesterday, ÀÚµ¿Â÷ º¸Çè.   2morrow, while the beautiful kaela hwang goes to (yet 'nother) chiropraktic board exam review class all day, i'll take some cowerkers up to tahoe 4 snowboarding.   we'll probl'y go to sugar bowl cos i've been politicking 4 it, campaigning 4 it.   originally, they planned to go to squaw, but i think i've convinced them to go to sugar bowl instead.   my ¢heape$t pri¢ on a sugar bowl tic's $37, while my ¢heape$t pri¢ on a squaw tic's $56.   expen$ive stuff, eh?   yah, snowboarding's not ¢heap.   i have expen$ive hobbies.   however, lemme say 1nce 'gain that i don't make snowboarding a luxurious aktivity: it's just drive up, get some mcyukyuk's drive.thru on the way up, snowboard all day, drive home, get some in.n.out on the way home.   sure, sometimes i splurge, n' we go to like chili's or a sactown (aktually rancho cordova) korean restaurant on the way back.   however, dude, it's totally not 'bout après ski soirées, tahoe luxury hotel casinos, spa massages, or horse.dran sleigh rides 4 me, no.   it's just like how other guys go n' play basketball on wknds.   i don't play basketball.   instead, i go snowboarding.

i need to reduce/minimise ¢o$t$ on lift tix cos i do try to spend 'least 10 days on the slopes each sesaon.   10 &mult; $37~56 = $370~560.   crazy, huh?   furthermore, some seasons, i go upwards'f 20 times, so 20   $37~$56 = $740~1120!!!   worse, that's per person, while i also pay 4 kaela when she comes, rt?   well, obviously, 4 the season where i hit the slopes 21 days, the ~$300 double whammy pass was quite a good deal.   *sigh* maybe next yr, i'll consider the sugarwood pass, but if i can get my hands on 'least 1 tahoe 6pac (like 2pac shakur; 6.pack), then maybe that/those'd be the best deal. *shrug* after all, i try not to limit myself to just 1 or 2 snow resorts.   i hate that term "snow resort" or "ski resort."   they rn't resorts, just parks.   the best term'd be "½º³ë¿ìº¸µåÀå snowboardjang," but sadly that'll never catch on.

[later] ¿ÀÈÄ: i went to werk w/ some cowerkers from a grp i werked w/ back when i was a co.op (intern).   we went to garcia's taqueria in sunnyvale on fair oaks @ el camino real.   i ate a "regular" (no guac, no sour cream, no cheese) barbacoa (bbq beef) burrito.   dude, that thing was so stuffed w/ meat!

[later] radio free europe: i found out yesterday from the santa clara weekly that the whole city of santa clara has free wi.fi from metrofi.   crazy, huh?   should i cancel our stoopid y! dsl acct?   well, the catch's that u got banner ads on all ur sites.   it's not the end'f the world tho'. *shrug*

[later] i need to buy some snowboard base cleaner.   i realise that a long time 'go, when i 1st started to do my own hot waxes, i used goo gone to clean our snowboard bases b4 hot waxing.   now i've learnd that maybe goo gone's 2 harsh'f a chemical 4 use as a snowboard base cleaner.   recently, i've been using some base cleaner that kaela picked up 4 me 1tym @ the copeland sports in valley fair mall.   oh, coincidentally, i think she's @ valley fair mall rt now.   i wish i were.   from wikipedia, i've learned that copeland sports is based in cali: 775 fiero lane, suite 200; san luis obispo, ca 93401.   they have branches in cali, oregon, utah, n' nevada.   "with athletics, golf, boardshop, outdoor, fitness, women's, and cycle departments, it tought iteslf as 'seven performance shops in one.'"   the copleand in valley fair is big, but the ol' 1 in berkeley (replaced by some holistik pharmacy) was dinky.

i realised that on a freebord, u can't really grind (like do a 50.50 grind) cos'f the center pair'f wheels.   i saw some european video where these guys built a special rail w/ a gap in the middle, so they could grind, while the center wheels poked thru the gap.   they didn't do 2 well but kept falling.   1 can railslide/boardslide on a freebord but not really grind.

[later] 1142p: went to t3s bible study mtg.   now i'd best go to sleep to wake up early to drive to tahoe.
