big spill

¼ö¿äÀÏ ¾Æħ: w/ presidents day on mon, this wk's flying by.   even crazier; feb, as a short month, 's almost over.   it's still cold n' 'specially briskly chilly n' frosty in the morn.   (@ wendy's hamburgers, u can get a frosty n' chili.   it wouldn't be a really healthy meal, but u can do that.)   the cold weather, both here in the bay area n' up in tahoe, has cracked my fingertips open.   it hurts my rt pinky finger to type as the crack on that finger is right on the tip or pad.   i s'ppose i ought to bandage that tip up.

[later] ¿ÀÈÄ: yesterday afternoon, the beautiful kaela hwang called me from Çѱ¹ ¸¶ÄÏ hangook market.   she was gro¢ery $hopping.   i commented that our house had no fud.   that's strange tho' cos i did go to the rivermark $afeway last wk, didn't i?   was that not on wed nite a wk 'go? *shrug*   neway, she bought lots'f gro¢erie$ n' then went home.   after my long werkday, i went home to grab my stuff n' rush to taekwondo praktice.   of course, i would've liked kaela to join me: but instead, she stayed home to study (no surprise).   well, she also cooked dinner, so that was very nice.   i went to praktice, had a really relaxed/chill praktice, n' then came home.   i didn't get 2 much'f a werkout.   however, i wasted much time just chatting w/ guys.   matt sed he wants to get a freebord.   he sed that when he noticed my skateboard in my trunk.   a freebord's a skateboard that s'pposed to ride very much like a snowboard.   yah, that'd be fun; but... *shrug* hrm, do u think i should get 1? heh... it's ok.   they're s'pposed to be good 4 downhill riding.   s'pposedly u can carve n' stuff.   matt sed there's lots'f videos online.   i'll hafta check'em out.

neway, when i got home, i was happy to c that kaela had cooked us dinner. :-) i was very eager to eat.   this made me very happy.   kaela doesn't do this much, 'specially not nemore; but she not only cooked dinner but told me she vacuumed the house earlier.   well, as expekted, i found kaela in our bedrm watching the winter olympiks in there cos our living room tv doesn't get ne reception rt now cos we rn't getting dish netwerk @ the moment.   well, kaela loaded up a tray full'f fud to bring over to the bedrm, so we could sit on the floor n' watch the olympiks.   she made some mapo tofu kind'f dish that looked so delicious as well as some kind'f Âî°³ jjigae... sumpthin' w/ lots'f Çع° haemool.   she loaded the tray w/ a big bowl'f the tofu n' then put 2 bowls'f healthy rice on there.   then she put a pot'f tea n' the whole pot'f Âî°³ jjigae (stew/soup).   she walked off w/ the tray 2wards the bedrm n' asked me to bring some cups.   oh yah, she also put a couple'f plastik containers'f ¹ÝÂù banchan on there.   as i reached into the cabinet 4 the cups, i heard a loud, loud, loud crash n' breaking porcelain. <:-o :'(   oh no!!!! she had run into the vacuum cleaner that she left out in the hallway from earlier n' everything fell!!!   there was red Âî°³ all over our beautiful walls, on our beautiful vettriano painting, n' even on the ceiling!!!   it was awful!!!   we were both very sad.   kaela had werked so hard to cook us a nice dinner, n' now it was pretty much all gone.   i spent a long time cleaning up the mess.   i ate the li'l bit'f remaining tofu w/ a li'l bit'f the remaining healthy rice.

we watched some olympik women's figure skating.   i was impressed w/ what i saw.   it was very easy 4 me to fall asleep after the olympiks show was over.   i could barely stay 'wake 4 the news n' the beginning'f leno.   these days, i sleep early n' wake up early.   however, i've developed a bad habit'f waking up @ 600a only to sit in the bed 4 1~1.5 hrs watching the nbc 11 news n' the today show.   sure, it's nice to keep up on current events, but i ought to get my @$$ to werk even earlier, despite the fakt that i'm pretty much the 1st 1 in my grp to get there each day.   luckily, i have an easy commute.

last nite, sooni barked cos our neighbours' kid had some loud friends over or sumpthin'.   it was like on mon nite when i heard those loud, white bmx kids out on the sidewalk, sounding like they were up to no good n' ready to graffiti w/ spray paint.   i let sooni out into the backyard cos @ 1st, i wondered if there were kids breaking into our backyard.   then i realised that the sound was coming from outside our neighbours' house, n' that it was their kid n' his friends.   dude, when did the kids in my neighbourhood become so rowdy?   this morn, i saw cigarette packs on the street in fron of my house.   annoyed, i kicked them 2wards our neighbours' house.   i talk to the dad now n' then.   he's a really nice guy, a house painter.   the mom's talked to me 1nce.   i guess she's shy; so she only talked to me 1nce to confirm that the power was out on the whole street 1 day a long while 'go.   the son?   he's like 1~2 yrs out'f hi skool.   i've never talked to him; but i'd be willing to.   the neighbourhood hi skool cms to have some kind' f "ski week" this wk cos i don't c cars parked out on the street by the skool.   i feel so awkward that i can sometimes be mistaken 4 a teenage punk on my skateboard, yet @ nite i must resemble a grouchy, cranky senior, old man.   i s'ppose some ppl'd say i ought to mature n' akt like the 30.sumpthin' neo.yuppie i'm s'pposed to be.   however, *sigh* that's just not me, man.

[later] "see the stars.   they're shining bright.   everything's alright tonight." - from depeche mode's "never let me down again"   while listening to "nothing's impossible" from depeche mode's current playing the angel album, i'm reminded'f those lines from their ol', monumental music for the masses album.   however, i'd always been mistaken, under the impression that the line was "see thes stars.   they're shining bright, shining bright for me tonight."   *shrug* of course, the smashing pumpkins had an awesome cover'f that tune in the 1990s.   isn't their an album'f depeche mode covers on which the cure does a depeche mode cover???   depeche mode (n' maybe also smashing pumpkins) fanatiks sometimes acronymise "never let me down again" as "nlmda," similar to how trekkies acronymise "the next generation" as "tng."   this new "playing the angel" album leaves us in awe w/ how it blends sounds from d.mod's past w/ new sounds.   wow!   @ times, i feel like i could be listening to b.sides from music for the masses or else from songs of faith and devotion.   of course, i've yet to hear a new depeche mode song that is 2 reminiscent'f speak n' spell, which's their 1st album.   wow, imagine if they had a song similar to "boys say go" or "pretty boy" in this post black celebration era.   yah, i think if u take d.mod pre.1986 n' juxtapose it w/ d.mod post.1986, u'll find plenty'f contrast.   aktually, i guess few ppl know what d.mod was like pre. catching up 'cept 4 "just can't get enough."   wow.   u ppl don't know what d.mod was like under the influence'f erasure's vincent clarke, eh?   ooh, man... u guys have 'lot to learn.   i wish i could teach a berkeley de.cal musik appreciation class re: d.mod.   uhm, in case u didn't figure it out, "d.mod" was an appreviation 4 "depeche mode," that some ppl used in the late 1980s.   back then, alt rock (alternative rock) was called modern rock n' usually abbreviated as "mod."   in a way, the poppiest that d.mod's been since the black celebration era is their violator album.   some'f those songs were quite poppy.   of course, "but not tonight," which is 1'f my all time favourite songs, from black celebration, 's an obvious exception.   it was featured on the soundtrack to some kind'f teenybopper movie.   i think 'twas a british movie.   later, scott weiland from the stone temple pilots covered it 4 not another teenage movie's soundtrack.   that cover, however, took it from it's parodoxically chipper form into a more somber mode, sumpthin' ppl've come to expekt more'f d.mod themselves, rt?
