<p>화요일 오후: recently, i had a thought re: my journal - is it more important 4 me to dokument n' record my <i>thoughts</i> or my <i>aktions</i>??? is it more important 4 me to have plenty'f these weekend updates n' "what i ate 4 lunch" details, or is it more important 4 me to have long schpiels n' monologues re: asian.am culture, etc.? *sigh* i guess diff ppl have diff kinds'f blogs: some talk 'bout all the fun things they do w/ their friends over the wknd. others talk 'bout religion n' politiks n' don't mention much 'bout their personal lives. what kind'f online journal should <i>the beno journal</i> be? *shrug*
<p>this was a pretty packed presidents day wknd. i'm happy i aktually got mon off. my company doesn't give out many holidays. i guess i miss how the 1st company i werked 4 (<a href="httP://www.ebmud.com" target="new">ebmud</a> had a 9.80 werk skedule, paid overtime, n' plenty'f holidays. neway, i've been saying lately how on wknds, i hafta decide whether to be a skateboarder or a snowboarder. on sat, i snowboarded. on sun, i skateboarded. on mon, i snowboarded. pretty crazy, eh?

<li>cooked some refrigerator pack 짜장면 jjajangmyuhn in the morn to bring 4 lunch instead'f buying werk.com cafeteria fud.</li>
<li>rushed home a li'l early (not early but simply "on time") to go watch cirque du soleil w/ the beautiful <a href="http://www.realestatesforcharity.com" target="new">kaela hwang</a>.</li>
<li>met up w/ her classmate friend sna n' his gf ponya, went to dinner @ minato sushi in sj j.town. (kaela ordered tempura udon, i ordered oyako donburi, n' we shared a minato roll.)</li>
<li>we watched cirque. i liked the bed trampoline akt, the chickens, n' the general silliness'f it all.</li></ul>
<li>02월17일, 금 (fri)</li>
<ul><li>werk as usual</li>
<li>during my lunchbrk, instead'f werkin' out @ the gym as usual, i took my car in 4 an oil change @ the santa clara precision tune auto care on east el camino real.</li>
<li>ate a burger king <img src="journal/graphics/burgerking.gif" alt="버거 킹"> salad while waitin' 4 my car.</li>
<li>the shop sez i need to change out my timing belts n' radiator hoses.</li>
<li>in the evening, (i wondered if we were gonna help judge the <a href="http://www.us-tae-kwon-do.com" target="new">us taekwondo akademy</a> 심사 belt tests but didn't) i took kaela out to dinner @ <a href="http://www.dusitathaicuisine.com" target="new">dusita</a>, a surprisingly nice thai restaurant on el camino near san tomas. we had a bogo (buy 1 get 1 free) entré ¢oupon from my gift checks ¢oupon book.</li>

<li>lemon basa (they were out'f seabass but offered a "white fish" called "basa.")</li>

<li>we went home n' finally watched the <i>동감 donggam</i> ("ditto") dvd that kaela's li'l bro jay gave us 4 <font color="#550000">christ</font><font color="#005500">mas</font> 2004.</li></ul>
<li>02월18일, 토 (sat)</li>
<ul><li>woke up early 4 snowboarding: i was s'pposed to meet up w/ mark, grace, n' kaz @ kaz's house @ 530a; n' kaz was s'pposed to drive us up to <a href="http://www.sugarbowl.com" target="new">sugar bowl</a> in his pathfinder. however, his pathfinder started to make a funny noise, so we switched to my car. that would've been the 1st time in yrs where i went to tahoe 4 snowboarding but wasn't the driver!</li>
<li>on the way up, we stopped by the burger king <img src="journal/graphics/burgerking.gif" alt="버거 킹"> in cordelia to get brkfast. u c, i received some burger king <img src="journal/graphics/burgerking.gif" alt="버거 킹"> ¢oupon book in the mail a while 'go; so <i>that</i>'s why i ate so much burger king <img src="journal/graphics/burgerking.gif" alt="버거 킹">. i had the enormous brkfast sandwich. i blotted much grease out'f that thing.</li>
<li>chain control on the 80, but i have subaru all wheel drive <img src="journal/graphics/subarulogo.jpg" alt="스바루"> on my 1999 forester s. <img src="journal/graphics/forester.jpg" alt="forester"></li>
<li>well, on the slopes, i met up w/ matt (the kid that always beats me up @ taekwondo these days) n' snowboarded w/ him the whole day w/o ne fud, h<sub>2</sub>o, or pee breaks!!! dude, i'msure the last time i did that was w/ s.mike in the real s.mike days, rt? crazy, dehydration made my muscles cramp up. matt sed i needed to 1) put his friends in their places by showing them my snowboarding skillz, n' 2) teach him some things. since he was so eager to ride w/ me, i couldn't refuse n' went w/o those breaks. i finished the day by regrouping w/ my passengers @ the terrain park. we had lots'f fun, n' every1 caught air. however, i was more into riding rails than jumps cos the powder was slowing me down 2 much to get good air. i think i ride rails better now; i hope so. the sun shone thru 1nce in a while; but it snowed 4 a good while, n' mostly it was just plain cold.</li>
<li>on our drive back, we stopped in sakramento to eat @ chili's. i had the classic fajitas (steak n' chicken), a side salad w/ hunny moutarde dressing, n' blackberry ice tea.</li>
<li>oh yah, kaela went to yet 'nother'f her chiropraktic seminars, n' that's why i went w/o her. when i got home, she still wasn't home.</li></ul>
<li>02월19일, 일 (sun)</li>
<ul><li>i woke up early n' skateboarded in the heart'f silicon valley, 'round my company n' other semiconduktor industry companies.</li>
<li>to my surprise, kaela n' i made it to the 900a service @ our church <font color="#ff9900"><a href="http://www.grx.org" target="new">grx</a></font>. i guess she was motivated cos we were set to meet her classmate friends rachel n' ken 4 lunch.</li>
<li>b4 lunch but after service; rachel, ken, my mom, kaela, n' i went to costco. we bought our <a href="http://www.kirkwood.com/" target="new">kirkwood</a> 2pac (2.pack) tix.</li>
<li>then rachel, ken, kaela, n' i went to lunch @ <font color="blue">청기와 chunggiwa (blue stones)</font>, 1'f our favourite lo<font color="blue">cal</font> <font color="#550000">ko</font><font color="#000055">rean</font> joints. we ordered 버섯 불고기 buhsuht boolgogi, 해물 전골 haemool juhngol, n' 해물 파전 haemool pajuhn.</li>
<li>after lunch, kaela n' i went to sports basement to buy some hand/toe warmers then set out w/ sooni to look 4 snow. 'twas a bunch'f fruitless driving. we tried to drive up to mt. hamilton; but 1) a sign sed the rd was closed, n' 2) i took a wrong turn n' got spit back 'way from the mtn neway. (we drove thru 1'f san jo's few remaining "scary" neighbourhoods. however, this area has really cleaned up,) then, i took hwy 17 to look 4 snow in the santa cruz mtns. crazy; i must've looked crazy w/ my snowboard still atop my car. we found no snow, n' i turned 'round @ scotts valley. i then drove us to <font color="#005500">whole fuds</font>. i let kaela go in n' gro¢ery $hop, while i took sooni 4 a walk, then skateboarded w/ her 'round the block. i thought kaela'd be done by then; but i tied sooni outside n' went in. she talked 4 a very, very, very long time w/ some 4mer classmate'f hers, this dude that talked 'bout how he was getting divorced n' all.</li>
<li>we went home, n' i washed a ton'f dishes while kaela cooked pasta.</li>
<li>my college program cowerkers called me, n' we made plans 4 snowboarding @ kirkwood; i was stoked that they were finally gonna snowboard w/ me this season. in case u haven't noticed, i feel really unpopular these days.</li>
<li>as usual these days, i went to sleep early.</li></ul>
<li>02월20일, 월 (mon) - 대통령의 날</li>
<ul><li>we woke up 4 snowboarding. kaela still woke up late, but i'm just glad she woke up.</li>
<li>we picked up my cowerkers n' headed up to kirkwood, stopping by the downtown stockton mcyukyuk's <img src="jounral/graphics/mcyukyuk.jpg" alt="맥도날드"> 4 a sausage mcmuffin brkfast. many homeless ppl n' daywerkers hang out there. kaela sadly lost 1'f her wool mittens there. <tt>:-(</tt></li>
<li>chain control on the 88, but my forester was waved thru as usual. plenty'f traffik tho'. i'm sure the local yokels out there just get on the rd n' clog up traffik to pi$$ off bay area visitors. kirkwood wants to expand (n' they definitely should), but locals r protesting it.</li>
<li>we snowboarded a full day. kaela n' i started out heading 2wards the side w/ sunrise. we boarded there 4 a while n' ate a really cr@ppy lunch on that side. then we made our way back to the original side (timber creek). we boarded the terrain park @ the end. yah, i had plenty'f fun riding rails n' catching air. kaela caught lots'f air 2 n' had fun. we didn't get to board w/ my cowerkers tho'. i think they figure they can't keep up w/ us. it was a sunshiney day.</li>
<li>on the drive back, we stopped 'gain @ that mcyukyuk's to look 4 kaela's mitten, but it was lost 4 good. kaela n' i ate some junk fud there: a spicy chicken sandwich meal n' a double ch.burger.</li>
<li>i dropped kaela off 4 her chiropraktic tutoring lesson in fremont then drove my cowerkers back to santa clara.</li>
<li>when i got home, i was exhausted. i showered. sooni barked 'bout noises outside, n' i saw a group'f teens on the sidewalk, hangin' out in the dark. it looked like they were up to no good. i heard them shaking spray paint cans. i recognised them as a bunch'f white bmx biker kids that i'd cn @ a house down the street. <i>were</i> they up to no good? well, my having been a skateboard kid, i didn't wanna be quick to judge. i went outside n' brought the garbage can in from the street, letting them know that i knew that they were there but nuthin' else. i realised tho' that ppl might mistake me 4 a teenager myself maybe... i mean, i'm sure i don't look <i>that</i> young, but if u c m riding down the street on a skateboard, "30 yr.old engr" prob'ly isn't ur 1st thought.</li>
<li>later, i dozed off, n' kaela woke me up, telling me to pick her up from her classmate's place in north park.</li></ul></ul>
it's been really cold lately. however, i heard on tv that it's gonna warm up soon. i dunno whether that's a good or bad thing.
