목요일 점심: today is the beautiful kaela hwang's and my 30th wedding monthversary. that's a good thing. i'm very happy to be married to her.
this year is progressingly fast as expected. as i typed today's date as 2006년01월19일, i imagined what it will be like to type 2006년12월19일 or something like that. well, soon enough, that's what i'll be doing.

last night, i was supposed to clean the bathrooms, and tonight i was supposed to do base repair on my snowboard and kaela's and give them hot waxes. last night, kaela said she's free tonight, so i should take her out for our monthversary. thus, instead, last night, i did base repair on our snowboards and hot waxed them. tonight, i'll take kaela out to dinner. the housechores? they'll have to wait till sunday. i guess i'll go snowboarding with duk's gang on saturday while kaelas off at yet another of her neverending chiropractic seminars. last nite, after killing my back doing all that snowboard maintenance, i marinated some 매운 닭고기 maeoon dalkgogi (spicy chicken meat) for tomorrow's grx t3 south couples bible study small group potluck.

duk says that we're probably going to boreal on saturday. i know he said that a little apologetically, but i actually don't mind boreal. it's underrated and relatively cheap, as i told him. also, it's relatively close and accessible. as we're going to boreal, i hope to have more of a freestyle day. kaela won't be as disappointed about missing a day on the slopes once she hears that we're going to boreal and not somewhere that she really likes, like alpine meadows. let's see; this saturday will bring my total days on the slopes this year to... five? the day at kirkwood by myself; the day at snow swummit with kaela; the day at kirkwood with kaela; duk, walter, and his friends; the day at heavenly with kaela and her classmates; and then now boreal with duk and his gang... yes, five. well, although this season started late, perhaps it's not too unrealistic of me to hope to achieve a double digit number of days on the slopes. the lowest number in recent years was eight. it's strange that i don't snowboard with my coworkers anymore. i wonder why i don't get to hang out with them anymore. well, sometimes i wonder if i get ostracized because i act like such an old fart and also probably talk too big about myself and snowboarding. yeah, i realize i should shut up about that.
the city of santa clara has a slogan or motto: "ht2: high tech, human touch." i like that slogan. uh, i'm confused by this page: http://www.ci.santa-clara.ca.us/city_gov/city_gov_aac_script.html. what is meant by the line "4 people in costume behind the mayor - father serra, farmer, 50s housewife, high tech 'bunny'"??? is father serra a catholic priest? who's the "high tech 'bunny'"??? okay, maybe i added that exponent format there; i.e, maybe the slogan is actually "ht2" not "ht2." "santa clara is an all america city." oh, i always that that the line was "santa clara is an all american city," but i was wrong. actually, it's an "all-america city." you can buy a tee shirt at the city store that says so.
while i was in the gym during my lunchbreak (i've gone every day this week during lunch), i received numerous text message alerts from yahoo! regarding new snowfall in tahoe. i should update my table!

each day this week, i worked out in the company gym during lunch and then bought cafeteria food to eat for lunch, right? i think so. i'm getting very sick of the cafeteria's food.
