well, after a decent day on the slopes (decent for me, so-so for the beautiful kaela hwang, i.e. she didn't appreciate the blizzard), we started to exit heavenly.   the line for the shuttle back to the gondola (near the hotels; we parked at the embassy suites) was very, very long; at least 0.25 mile long, i'd say.   we waited and waited.   luckily, yes, we made progress in the line.   [later] however, the line was still too slow.   eventually, we decided to hike back to the car.   we discovered that we could snowboard down the cabin-lined streets.   we hopped on our boards.   wow, it was quite the experience of a lifetime!   it was like skateboarding.   i was snowboarding past cars and houses!   this was very cool.   however, in the end, i looked at my base (of my snowboard).   ugh! i'll be doing some base repair.   i was so sad to see how much i had scratched up my board!
