¼ö¿äÀÏ ¾Æħ: hi, how r u? "hello, i saw you, i know you, i knew you. i think i can remember your name, name." - r.e.m.'s "pop song '89" 2day, i feel maybe 85~90% recovered from my laryngitis. the worst part's all this phlegm in my throat that i just can't cm to expektorate. hrm, "expektorate," that's a wurd i 'member hearing in a they might be giants song. ah, they might be giants n' r.e.m., a couple'f folksy rock bands i enjoyed in hi skool, eh? these days, they might be giants's best known 4 the malcolm in the middle theme song. "life is unfair..." "you're not the boss of me now! you're not the boss of me now!" me, i got into they might be giants cos'f their flood album. it had songs such as "istanbul not constantinople" n' uh... what else? i know it had the track "your racist friend." what else? hrm, there's some other hit single that persuaded me to buy the tape cassette album. :-? i 'member 'twas a kewl album. it had a self.titled (?) track called "they might be giants." what else? *sigh* i don't 'member, but there was some hit single. back in those days, 'nother folksy rock band i enjoyed was the dead milkmen w/ their hit single "punk rock girl," which was a kewl song. ah, the violent femmes? yah, there's 'nother. i s'ppose these folksy rock bands were sometimes classified or categorised as "college rock" if not "alt rock." i think this was the era in which the term "alt rock" started to replace the 1980s term "modern rock," which was previously abbreviated as "mod." of course, the violent femmes were best known 4 their hit single "blister in the sun." neway, dude, that's all 4 ur 1990s folksy alt rock lesson 4 2day, eh?
in case u haven't heard, my mom's getting baptised @ grx this sunday, december 18 @ the 915a service. this is a big deal. we're talkin' eternal salvation here! this is good stuff. come if u can. in ne case, i s'ppose u can pray 4 it to be as great n' glorious'f an event as it should be.
last nite, i went to taekwondo praktice. i had no voice. we kicked paddles, n' it was fun. 2wards the end, i convinced mark to have us do more "demo" stuff (fancy kicks), which was fun. i couldn't talk n' couldn't ±âÇÕ kihap. do u know what our űǵµÀå taekwondojang's like? it's like the barbershop in the movie barbershop. like, after praktice's done, it's a place 4 a bunch'f guys to sit 'round n' talk 'bout whatever nonsense there is. i don't think we really mean to make it specifically "an asian thing," but it's like an asian version'f the afrikan.am barbershop in the movie, u know? well, in that sense, it's a special place. after praktice, i went home n' ate some random stuff: ÆÏÁ× patjook (red bean porridge), some red grapes, n' some pepper jack cheese. what a random combination! i watched this movie ançaise ench.canadian called la peau blanche (white skin), sort'f an indie/foreign film. 'twas quite interesting n' has this major twist @ the end that i can't discuss w/ u w/o spoiling it.
late, late last nite, an ol' friend from the cal taekwondo p. crew (the early days) e.mailed me n' asked me to remove all reference to her name from pic captions on my webpage. she was very, very nice 'bout it. yah, i know some ppl don't want, 4 "professional reasons," their names mentioned on ne personal webpages or blogs. yah, i totally understand even tho' u know that i'm totally not like that. i'm so frickin' publik 'bout everything i do. man, yah, employers can find out 'lot'f $#!+ 'bout me w/ just a simple google, 'specially if they realise that i go by "beno." i s'ppose that's 1 important thing: if they don't connekt the name "beno" w/ me, then they might not get it; but it's not 2 hard. neway, i started to browse thru some ol', ol' pages to find where i'd referred to her. wow, that was a trip down memory lane! frick, that stuff was over 5 yrs 'go now! time really flies. i hope none'f us consider those bad memories. it cmed that ppl were fine w/ my having those pix up on my webpage in the past, n' i hope, even if ppl'd like their names removed, they don't mind the pix aktually being there. like, shoot, i hope no 1 starts asking 4 me to blur out faces. that's just disturbing, u know? sheesh, then we'll have pix that look like stuff from horror films like the ringu/ring series! what i plan to do is sort'f encrypt her name. i'll e.mail her 'bout it soon.
[later] dude, i just realised that w/ my pa1mone tungsten t5's being in the shop 4 repair, i'm missing 1'f my important dj tools. i mean, shoot, of course the most important pieces'f equipment r my 2 pioneer cdj500s n' my mixer, but as an accurate dj, i use lots'f teknogadgets like my palm. :-/ i'd like to do more dj stuff. i need to.
[later] ¿ÀÈÄ: after quickly reading a few webpages 'bout time management yesterday, i decided to make more'f a habit'f planning out each'f my werkdays on a more hr by hr basis. i told myself, "micromanage urself, or else be micromanaged by some1 else!"
[later] Á®³á: oh i 4got to mention earlier sumpthin' mildly interesting that happened 2day: the beautiful kaela hwang ran out'f gas on the side'f the road, so i went out, bought a 5.gal plastik gas tank, filled it up, n' helped her get back on her way. 4tunately, it didn't take 2 long.
hey, have u guys ever heard'f a book titled the great physician's rx by jordan rubin? a li'l while 'go, i got a spam mail from "christian music updates" advertising it. it aktually sounds pretty kewl, but... *shrug* apparently, it's been on the ny times best sellers list 4 a long time or whatever. the link in the spam mail leads to a site that sells the book 4 like $16.95 + 4.95 s&h.
[later] ¹ã 955p: 2nite, after werk, after werking out @ the werk.com gym (i was sooo frustrated w/ sumpthin' that happened @ werk 2day, so i wanted to lift weight to take out my aggression), i drove far. i drove to berean christian bookstore in princeton plaza. that's relatively far from where we live n' where i werk, but it's very close to where we used to live back when we lived w/ my mom. it's a shame we never went to berean back when we lived w/ my mom. however, back then, it wasn't there but instead closer to the ol' hamilton/meridian bally total fitness. it was very fun to be @ berean. i really liked being there. however, i was also very disturbed by the amt'f reublikkkan propaganda being sold. ugh!
[later] on my way out'f princeton plaza, i got a grilled premium chicken sandwich meal from mcyukyuk's mcdrive. the mayo's so fatt'ning!
