About
I’m currently a senior at the University of California, Berkeley. I study cognitive science and its applications to technology specifically in relation to computational modeling. I originally got interested in this field when I took one of my first classes at Cal – “Philosophy of the Mind”. From there, I became intrigued with AI and ML and decided to take more computer science courses.
I’ve always been someone who had multi faceted interests. Growing up on a farm in the Central Valley of California, I was surrounded by animals, almond trees, and tractors. I’ve always known I loved animals and wanted to dedicate some part of my life to working with them. As of now, I’m still figuring out exactly how I’m going to fulfill that dream- whether that be moonlight volunteering, becoming a full fledged veterinarian, or using my technical skills to create better products for animals and their owners – it’s still all up in the air. I personally believe there is a lot that can be done in the ways of technology to help improve animal’s lives, so that is what I am focussing on right now in my life.
In my free time I enjoy volunteering at animal shelters, writing poetry or short stories, and prototyping new ideas that I think will make a real difference in this world we live in.
