I think that I am close, but don't seem to have all the facts. Anyway [hide] A hand in a game of poker (or other gambling game). The 8 fingers one each hand are the fingers of the person holding the hand. The six eyes belong to a pair of jacks, one of the jacks is a one-eyed jack for a total of 6. The four arms belong to the jacks, that is the weapons they are holding, either a sword or axe. (I hope the have weapons, I don't have a deck handy so cannot confirm.) The three legs had me stumped for a while, but everything else fits that I figure it should too. A leg is a round in the game, of which three are played. So, the cards in the hand will win the third leg in the game with a pair of jacks. [/hide]

My guess is it has something to do with [hide]a game of cards[/hide], but I don't know exactly what. I'll have to experiment a little when I get home from work.
