It is quite fine,
It can help count back time,
It shines when perfect,
It's really quite worth it,
This thing found a mine.

What is it?

I agree with Packo. But, I couldn't figure out the time part, until I peeked at your answer. But, because of the "when perfect" like I think the answer must be [hide]carbon[/hide].

::[hide]Nothing shines better than beautiful eyes of a woman

It is quite fine.
When you see it deeply, it can take you back in time.
it shines when its perfect.
the eyes are worth everything in this world.
this thing found a mine of happiness for me.

Hath drawn his weapons on thee"
