Five feet I have on each of fourteen legs
Upon them go I travel out of Rome
Tis he yes, Tom, Why it is he who begs
Come holiday upon my island home

Wherein I find my place upon the stage
For princely dukes as bards do talents hone
Consigning heart felt feelings to the page
Selected words versed deep in rhyme and tone

Twas not long after Tom had passed away
When to the world one Will was come to fame
To wrought the words of men as love convey
He shaped his whim in fancy to my name

Now lovers weave my lines to passion’s net
To cast me on the sea where love is met
