What Am I?

One half of me says I’m just one
My other half says I am many
It’s paradoxical, I know
Makes little sense, if any.
But even worse is yet to come
For when my halves combine
Good Lord! Not one, not two or more
But everything is mine

BNC I am having trouble unifying your statement with the riddle. I am not well versed in this kind of poetry, but I will venture a guess of my own. [hide] {ALL} A as in one, and LL as in 50 twice. There are some problems, but I cannot get UNIVERSE to work, because verse does not mean many. [/hide]

Am I missing something?

You can arrive at the answer from an economic point of view, or from a more playful one. ;)
