3 nice riddles for you guys. Really need some answers!

1st: When the clouds are out, it goes no higher then them. It weighs less then a feather and is as thick if not thicker then a mountain. It cannot be seen by all but even the ones who cannot see it, see it. What is it?

2nd: As light as a feather but you cannot hold onto me forever. What am I?

3rd: I blind you, I give you food, I give you light, I give you death, I give you life, I am always there, I am never there. What am I?

The answer to number 2 must be [hide]your breath[/hide].

The answer to number 1 I think is [hide] air or wind[/hide] but the riddler must be very old, as we know that some of the conditions do not hold true in the face of scientific explanation.

Number three has [hide] me stumped[/hide] ;D

My first guess at number three is [hide]the sun[/hide]. Not sure about a fitting interpretation of the "I am never there" though.
