Title: Re: I defend Post by mistysakura on Jul 7th, 2003, 5:07pm Okay, how exactly does a shield stand? (Not bothering to hide since it was originally revealed anyway) |

Title: Re: I defend Post by zero on Jul 8th, 2003, 1:29pm answer:[hide]wall[/hide] why is it so common for people to say time is the answer. |

Title: Re: I defend Post by James Fingas on Jul 8th, 2003, 1:59pm Probably because it's so easy to kill time, but so hard to fight it. How do you kill a wall? (for that matter, how do you fight a wall?) |

Title: Re: I defend Post by towr on Jul 8th, 2003, 2:14pm For that matter how does a wall wound you? I know you can wound yourself using a wall, but a wall is rather passive. |

You kill a wall by breaking it down which is feasible right, but still quite the task if it's a solid wall like some we've seen come down over the past years. But to fight against a wall is almost useless yet not totally since they have been scaled and overcome in past battles, I would say it is harder to fight than to just knock down and kill. Make sense? We are speaking figuratively. |

Title: Re: I defend Post by BNC on Jul 9th, 2003, 12:22am Wound witout force ... ? ? ? ? ? ? ??? |

Title: Re: I defend Post by maryl on Jul 9th, 2003, 4:11pm Ok, (some days you guys are really tough); actually, I had to think that wounding part out too, and I came to the conclusion that a wall can indeed wound by not letting you past it-for whatever reason: freedom, or whatever is on the other side worth having. |

Title: Re: I defend Post by zero on Jul 12th, 2003, 3:27pm I defend without weapons, walls defend without weapons stand without legs, walls stand without legs wound without force, have you tried to break a wall? you probably would be hurt unless yuo use mechines or some sort of mechanism and am harder to fight than to kill. What am I? you can fight a wall but to kill it is hard think of a middle ages they would fight a caslte but hard to destroy it |

I agree. Riddles are not all perfect, and this is just one of those ones that can be worded several ways and the answer is still correct. So since we have found the correct answer we should be done here. ;) |

Title: Re: I defend Post by towr on Jul 16th, 2003, 1:06am it's never stopped us before.. Besides, I keep thinking something immaterial might fit better. Like for instance a joke. Some people use jokes as a(n emotional) defence, some people are hurt by jokes even though it's immaterial and thus can't use (physical) force, it's also very easy to kill a joke (by telling it wrong), but I wouldn't know how to fight it. The only problamatic thing would be standing.. |

Title: Re: I defend Post by aero_guy on Jul 16th, 2003, 10:59am If the newbies think we finish talking about a riddle simply because we have finished the elementary task of solving it, they should take a looks at the .9999=1 (http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=riddles_medium;action=display;num=1027804564) thread. Though I think I did mention something about a dead horse on page 8 or so. |

Title: Re: I defend Post by Icarus on Jul 20th, 2003, 11:26am No - that one has been completely and repeatedly demonstrated. Because some people refuse to accept the truth no matter how well it has been shown does not mean the issue isn't resolved. |
