I thought stalagmites grew in all seasons... obviously I'm wrong. Wait a minute... stalagmites don't die in summer, do they?

stalagmites have their roots on the ground.

stalactites have their roots toward heaven, like I see calls.

just exercising my right to be didactic 8)
